Complex's "Horse Power" documentary looks at Hip Hop's influence on Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren is a fashion powerhouse a staple of style an icon of american fashion. Kanye West encapsulated Ralph Lauren place in culture with his infamous "It ain't Ralph tho" comment.  Hip Hop's has always been an aspirational culture so it only makes sense that they adopted Ralph lauren as a staple brand for the culture. 

Complex's Horse Power documentary delves deep into street culture far beyond hip hop into the inner cities of america. There was a street gang called Low-Life that were famous for wearing  Ralph Lauren head to toe similar to the english hooligans that wore Burberry. The Documentary features cameos from Just Blaze, Kanye West and Raekwon the chef to name a few. Fashion has always been a key element in defining cultural movements from sketers to golfs to punks to rappers.
